Le COPS est la branche RH d’ECCEE.

Although we are a multi-faceted consultancy and educational engineering firm, we only deal with issues that we master perfectly.

As a result, our firm is exclusively involved in HR issues relating to the field ofeducation in general andteaching in particular.

We operate in compulsory education (primary, secondary), higher education and universities, as well as in non-profit organizations, crèches, libraries, homework schools, etc.

Although we use this term for the sake of clarity, we do not practice human resources management in the traditional sense of the term. We prefer the more realistic concept of human management .

In concrete terms, we offer tailor-made HR solutions and advise our customers wishing to recruit, evaluate or train educational staff (teachers, educators, speech therapists, school principals, inspectorates, pedagogical advisors, workshop leaders). We offer the same type of services for all related functions required for the smooth running of an institution: bursars, accountants, special educators, pedagogical coordinators, quality managers, prevention consultants).

In the current context of teacher shortages, our activities include taking charge of recruitment-related aspects. Our services therefore include sourcing, placement and outplacement of personnel according to a set of specifications.

Assessment tools and staff evaluation

The evaluation of teaching staff is the subject of ongoing development. The decree on the support, development of professional skills and evaluation of teaching staff aims to provide a framework for these aspects, which can sometimes be a source of tension. We can help you learn how to evaluate teaching staff in line with the latest legislative framework.

Current assessment procedures for selection-promotion candidates are disparate and dependent on local practices. This situation is not conducive to efficient communication with candidates applying for these positions.
Assessment tests do, however, exist in some places. However, the ability to carry out psycho-technical tests disconnected from the professional reality of those working in the field will provide decision-makers with few reliable indicators of the performance they are entitled to expect from their direct collaborators (management, inspectors, coordinators, workshop managers, etc.).
In other words, knowing the abstract reasoning skills of a future principal in the face of a series of mock exercises that do not include the practical dimension and emotional component of the job is certainly interesting, but offers little output on leadership, conflict management, the ability to adapt to unforeseen events and resistance to stress. These skills are not taken into account in conventional tests.

Based on this observation, our firm offers assessment tools specific to selection-promotion functions. These tests are based on simulations of authentic professional situations, and assess candidates' mastery of legislation specific to the teaching profession, as well as their ability to solve a complex task related to their job. Detailed feedback is systematically provided at the end of each test.
We can also assist you with job interviews, annual appraisals and dismissal procedures.
To sum up, the current shortage of teachers in French-speaking Belgium is a major concern for the organizing authorities and public education departments in terms of providing quality teaching. Our actions therefore aim to provide unique added value to all our client institutions in the recruitment of their staff (primary or secondary schools, ONE-recognized crèches, ASBLs with or without a permanent education background, SMEs, international organizations, social promotion establishments, higher education establishments, youth centers, libraries, etc.) in order to respond to these legitimate concerns.
